Empowering Survivor Entrepreneurs Initiative

The Empowering Survivor Entrepreneurs Initiative is funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), and is designed to support transitional housing providers nationwide. Our mission is to equip case managers, advocates, and leadership with the tools, knowledge, and trauma-informed strategies needed to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence in exploring entrepreneurship as a path to economic justice.

This initiative includes:

  • A full curriculum of 8 training modules
  • An eLearning platform with on-demand access
  • Live workshops and virtual webinars
  • Partnership development with business support organizations
  • Peer learning sessions to foster collaboration and collective problem-solving

We are proud to launch this national model to build provider capacity, improve survivor economic outcomes, and create replicable best practices for the field.

Ladies Empowered with Resources, Inc. (LEWR) is a national training and coaching organization committed to equipping leaders and advocates with tools for purpose-driven impact. With over 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship education and leadership development, our founder, Jennifer Malone, leads transformative initiatives that promote healing, self-sufficiency, and sustainable growth.
